Inspirational quotes and poems

Cliff gave me a copy of this poem on the last day of his People Building NLP Practitioner training. I think it is a remarkable piece of work and firmly believe it should be published. It’s an inspirational account of how one can create changes in their life and the way their life is represented and experienced.

I screamed in silence so nobody heard, Too cold and frightened to utter a word.

It’s dark in there, I like it best, Behind my door away from the rest.

And now I’m out from behind the door, That kept me safe with all that I stored.

Diane’s Poem- This takes some explaining simply because it is flooded with anecdotes from our NLP Practitioner Training!

First off, Diane ended up with an anchor (anyone in NLP will know what this is, if you don’t, do the training and find out) to the work “touch.” So every time the practitioner asked her “In a moment we are going to do a process called anchoring, this means I will need to touch you on the shoulder, is that ok?” Diane would be in a fit of the giggles. She asked if there was another word that could be used to she didn’t get set off and Gemma very unhelpfully suggested the word “Lick?” which made her ten times worse!
Diane had problems with her sense of direction at the beginning of the week and could find her way back to reception until a belief change process sorted her out.
Harry is the spider we use our phobia cures!

NLP

A new learning day has just begun, We’re off and it is kicking.

But first of all I’m just wondering, Do we use touch or are we licking?

With some help from NLP, I can now find my way around.

At last! Hurray! Reception’s there, It is so easily found.

Rapport and submodalities, Are all easily understood.

I know I will be using these, Now, later and for good.

And now for a break at lunch time, The food is very yummy.

We eat sandwiches and chicken legs, And they filled my tummy.

(Even the waiter was quite scrummy!)

Oh that powerful feeling, When those Anchors are in place.

You only need touch their shoulder, And watch the expression on their face.

And what about those phobias, To others they’re quite scary.

How do you feel about Harry, Big and frightening and very hairy.

It’s been a great experience, I know I’ve learned a lot.

Our weeks training is now over, The day is drawing to an end
